(Handover training between the Self-Defense Forces and Tokyo Fire Department staff)
(Volunteers with their pet dogs guiding evacuation orders)
(Evacuation in the outdoor parking lot and roll call)
(13 dogs and 20 volunteers participated)
In this training, we assumed that a fire had broken out in a hotel guest room due to an earthquake directly beneath the capital with a maximum seismic intensity of 6-lower. We went through a series of steps, including making announcements in the hotel, calling 119, initial fire extinguishing, evacuation guidance, and handing over to the fire department.
To make the training more practical, volunteers playing the role of guests were stationed in multiple locations, including the restaurant, guest rooms, and the dog run in the basement. Employees from the front desk, restaurant, and grooming salon guided the volunteers playing the role of guests to safety.
In this training, 20 hotel members (13 dogs) who brought their beloved dogs participated as volunteers and provided information on safe evacuation procedures in the event of a disaster, precautions to take when evacuating with your pet dogs, and emergency supplies for evacuating at home.
As a city hotel chain visited by guests from all over the world, we will continue to strive to provide safe and secure hospitality in addition to providing comfortable accommodation and services.
<For the time being, inumo Shiba Park will have an exhibition booth set up to introduce its "Pet x Disaster Prevention" initiative.>
