In recent years, due to the increase in customers from overseas, we have introduced evacuation guidance in four languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) for disaster prevention drills. These drills simulate the occurrence of an actual earthquake or fire, and include emergency announcements and evacuation instructions in four languages, evacuation guidance for the floor where the fire started and the floor directly above, as well as AED first aid training, enabling a rapid response in the event of an emergency.

All our staff have undergone first aid training, so we are prepared to provide emergency medical care to everyone.

All of our hotels have been designed and constructed in accordance with the new earthquake resistance standards. These standards are designed to prevent collapse or destruction in an earthquake equivalent to a seismic intensity of 6. In particular, our Tokyo Shiodome, Tokyo Tamachi, and Tokyo Roppongi (inside Izumi Garden Tower) hotels use seismic isolation structures ^*.

• *The vibration control device absorbs the deformation of the building that occurs during an earthquake, making it difficult for earthquake energy to be transmitted to the building and reducing shaking.

Our company has been certified by the Tokyo Metropolitan Fire Department as a superior fire prevention facility that meets the certification standards (with the exception of some hotels). As proof of this, we display the superior fire prevention facility certification (excellent mark) at the building entrances, exits, reception, etc.

In the event of a disaster, Sumitomo Realty & Development's Central Management Center, which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, will take the lead and work in cooperation with hotel staff to respond quickly to minimize damage.

Ensuring the safety of our customers requires not only a good building, but also the constant presence of well-trained and qualified personnel. Our company employs staff who have taken the Self-Defense Firefighting Technical Exam and have completed the Advanced Lifesaving Certification course. We conduct firefighting and earthquake drills eight times a year, exceeding the legally required minimum of two times a year. We also actively participate in the Self-Defense Firefighting Examination held by the fire department, and have won awards.
